Community Service Update

The great thing about being a Golden Key member is the broad range of opportunities at your disposal. Not only are there some fantastic social and networking events, but also the chance to get involved in community service projects.

Golden Key has a great relationship with Yeronga State High School, an award-winning multicultural school that needs volunteers to join their “English as a Second Language” program. This is the perfect way to gain some volunteering experience and contribute to a worthwhile and rewarding cause. You will work closely with the students of Yeronga and learn how just a few hours of your time can make such a difference in someone else's life. Send us an email if you want to get involved. You'll need a valid 'blue card' so if you don’t have one and are a current QUT student, we can help organise one for you through QUT.

In other news, keep your eyes peeled for our upcoming Cake Stall fundraiser. On Wednesday, March 27, grab a delicious cupcake, socialise and help us raise money for a good cause; the Smith Family (a children's charity helping disadvantaged Australian children take advantage of their education). Every dollar goes directly to the fund!
